Watching the eclipse on TV, and they mentioned that Torreón, Mexico has the full eclipse right now. That’s where my dad’s family is from. I visited my grandmother there when I was a child.

I sadly need to announce the closing of CrystallineVelvet’s brick and Mortar shop on Walnut St. in Downtown Springfield, MO. Our last day to be open to the public will be Saturday January 13, 2024.

We will be continuing to show at festivals, do home shows, teach classes and do parties (for ages and up), and be available for private showings.

We will also be increasing our online inventory at CrystallineVelvet.com / ShopCVonline.com as well as on our Etsy accounts: CrystallineVelvet and SassyGlassJewelryy (yes, 2 y’s 🙄) once we’ve moved out of our space at the end of January.

If you are looking for a day to shop CrystallineVelvet with all the hustle, and bustle that Downtown usually is, today is your day! It’s shockingly quiet down here with plenty of parking…including right in front of our shop!

Our Beading (Bezeling) around a cabochon was simply amazing! We had a great time and learned a new skill. A huge Thank You to our instructor Kathy Bolch for giving us a fabulous learning experience! Check out what I did (it’s not finished yet because I stopped to take care of customers)…can’t wait to finish it into a wearable piece…and the start another!
