We're going somewhere new.

Seven posts in and we've shown you diamonds. Today we're introducing our first colored stone. An oval green sapphire. And yes, it changes everything about how you guess.

Here's the one thing to know before you play. Colored stones are cut to maximize color, not carat weight. Which means this stone faces up larger than a diamond of the same weight would. Your instinct is probably off. That's the point.

Swollen fingers happen more than you think. Heat, pregnancy, injury, weight changes, or just time. Whatever the reason, you don't need the ER and you don't need to be embarrassed.

Bring it to us. If it needs to come off we'll cut it safely and restore it so it fits perfectly again. Your ring isn't gone. It's just getting a second life.

This setting started its life with a pear shaped ruby at its center.

She loved it so much she came back. Same sculptural wave setting, same yellow gold, same silhouette that stopped her the first time. Different stone. A pear cut diamond, set bezel, slightly larger than before.

That's what custom actually means. Not starting from scratch every time. Sometimes it means knowing a design well enough to make it better.

Lab-grown diamonds are identical to mined diamonds in every way that matters; chemically, optically, physically. They're not fake. They're not lesser. They're just made differently.

Natural diamonds carry geological history. Formed over billions of years. For some people that origin is part of the meaning and that matters.

Lab-grown diamonds often allow for a larger stone at a more accessible price point. For some people that's the smarter choice and that matters too.

Neither answer is wrong. The right one is the one that fits your values, your budget and what you want the ring to represent.

We don't have a stake in which direction you go. We just want you to make the decision that feels right for you. If you want to talk it through with someone who genuinely doesn't mind which way you land, that's exactly what we're here for.
