So how is it that two fabulously beautiful women came together to become the now famous Buffalo Girls? Well, that is indeed an interesting story that most of you would find quite intriguing, in a “road less travelled” sort of way. Being one that always has to stay busy, not having anything do was killing her. So she jumped at the chance to do something different when a frien

d asked her to stand in as an assistant for a magician’s act that was in town. One thing then led to another and circumstance found Ginger and her new magician friend traversing the country with a traveling circus troupe. This is where the ever-mysterious, yet overtly spontaneous Frieda comes into the picture. Frieda, believe it or not, was an apprentice tight rope walker who was already traveling with the circus; along with her two sisters. A little back story here; Frieda comes from a long line of famous acrobats. Her relatives have performed on various stages across the world from the Moulin Rouge, to Coney Island, and even Phu Ket. But, I digress and will now return to the story at hand. As happenstance would have it, Frieda and Ginger shared a travel trailer as the circus roamed from town to town and along the dusty byways of America. Being like-minded, strong-willed, independent women they hit it off immediately. As circus performers they both found themselves having to deal with the less than glamorous parts of circus life, like having to maintain and repair their costumes. Both of them soon found that they liked the other’s style and they were both soon making a little extra dough fixing other performers’ costumes and outfits. This was all well and good until one hot and sticky summer night when the circus pulled into Buffalo, NY. As you can probably imagine, since they live and work in an extremely close-knit little universe that from time to time tensions reach a boiling point. That steamy July evening found Frieda locked in a heated screaming match with her sisters and Ginger in a vitriolic argument with her magician friend. As they both sat in their trailer consoling each other the reality of the situation struck them. They each had unique talents and eyes for design that were going to waste living under the big top. It was then and there that both of them walked hand in hand to the ringmaster’s trailer and handed him their proverbial walking papers. The rest, as the old cliché says, is history…

HEE HEE...actually we were just two awesome moms on the adventure of a lifetime! Frieda continued on in her travels of the world and landed in CA. Ginger is the sole owner of Buffalo Girls Jewelry and operates the company from Spokane, WA.

Our Story

The Buffalo Girls Jewelry™ story began in 2012. I had a dream to create beautiful, handmade jewelry all day long, while balancing it with my fun and crazy life, as a wife and mom.

Six years later, every jewelry design is still created by hand, with each letter of a word stamped individually, for a very important reason.

The design that you choose, will be unique and imperfect -- just like each one of us.

Today, I am extremely humbled by the grace, gratitude, love and kindness that have become the pillars of my sweet company. With a tribe, thousands of women strong, and a team of imperfect people, Buffalo Girls Salvage has become the go-to gifting company every year, for women who identify with what we represent. Positivity, empowerment and a commitment to love the absolutely amazing woman that you were born to be.
