We are happy to announce two new art exhibitions that will be on display at Compelling Images Fine Art and SOJAX from September 10th to October 11th:

Compelling Images Fine Art is pleased to present our first solo exhibition,
“Color Grid Re-Visions”
featuring the collage paintings of Florence Weisz.

On view are abstract art works on paper that combine free-flowing organic forms within grid structures. Florence has developed a unique medium using color pigments dissolved in alcohol and with them has created her signature collages in a process that is both intuitive and analytical – art that appeals to the heart and the intellect.
Florence also works with designers and architects to create new art for specific spaces.

Robyn Ross is a jewelry boutique that began selling its original designs in the infamous “47th Street Diamond District of NYC”. Ross Fields, along with his wife, Robyn, decided to bring their jewelry expertise near their home in New Jersey over 6 years ago. Fields states: “We wanted to share our combined knowledge and flair for jewelry of more than 35 years to this great town of South Orange.” He goes on to state: “Besides the beautiful jewelry we have in our showcases, we pride ourselves in creating one-of-a-kind custom pieces for our clientele.”

Ross Fields is a Diamonds Graduate from the Gemological Institute of America and a member of NAJA - National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.

SOJAX is pleased to present our initial art exhibition opening on Thursday July 17th from 6-8:30 p.m. at 67 South Orange Ave. Our in house gallery, Compelling Images Fine Art, owned and operated by Jacquelyn Roesch-Sanchez, will present “Color Grid Re-Visions” featuring the collage paintings of Florence Weisz.

On view will be abstract art works on paper that combine free-flowing organic forms within geometric structures. Ms. Weisz has developed a unique medium using color pigments dissolved in alcohol and with them has created her signature collages in a process that is both intuitive and analytical – art that appeals to the heart and the intellect.

In addition, on display are the photographs of Joseph Grisafi. Originally from “The Bronx, NY” Joe has been a resident of South Florida since 2001. As a Floridian, he is inspired by the natural beauty of South Florida’s flora and fauna and chooses to employ photography and digital graphics as the medium to capture and record the never ending vistas of interest.

In collaboration with Ross Fields of Robyn Ross Jewelry, Compelling Images Fine Art under the umbrella of South Orange Jewelry and Art Exchange will be showcasing an extended collection of limited edition fine art prints all created and signed by artists from the NY art scene circa 1975-present. Over 250 handcrafted prints and works on paper comprise this eclectic collection. A diverse collection of fine jewelry and diamonds along with Native American, Mexican and Jorge Jensen jewelry offset by original, hand-crafted scarves rounds out the offerings on display.

As Robyn thrives in her new career, I've decided to continue on in South Orange (our location remains the same). I am excited to announce the new name of Robyn Ross is...."South Orange Jewelry and Art Exchange" (SOJAX).
