Intentional Allay Designs

Welcome! I create custom natural gemstone jewelry to give the wearer a metaphysical boost! I am perpetually busy, as my ADHD doesn't allow me a lot of free time.

For some time, I've been learning of the metaphysical properties found in gemstones. I enjoy making jewelry that not only look pretty but may also provide healing properties to the wearer. I first made them for my family and friends for grief, ADHD, depression, anxiety, love, studying help, confidence, and more. I spent a long time learning the various healing properties, the strong partnerships,

the stones that don't mesh, etc. It has been such a joy learning the metaphysical properties that I decided to make them for others. On a personal note, I am a married mother of six kids and three fur babies. I am an investigator by trade, working as both an investigation supervisor full-time and a death investigator part-time. Because I work in intensive, sensitive situations that may be stressful, this little venture provides a way to work through the stressors in my life while hopefully others some positivity.

Sometimes inspiration comes from beautiful places. Sometimes it comes from dealing with bu****it. 😂

I’ve been navigating a situation lately that has required a whole lot of boundaries, restraint, and reminding myself that I don’t have to pick up everything someone else throws my way.

Taking the high road is hard. Protecting your peace is hard. And sometimes the strongest thing you can do is decide what belongs to you, what deserves a response, and what you’re simply going to let go.

So, naturally, I made bracelets for it. 🤍

These one-of-a-kind hand-wrapped pendants are ready for Corn on the Curb in Balsam Lake!

And am I done creating for tomorrow? Of course not. 😂 Once the kids are in bed, I’m heading back to the workbench because I have new bracelet designs in my head that need to become actual bracelets.

Fall event season is here! 🍂 And September + October are looking pretty darn good.

I’ll be traveling around Wisconsin and Minnesota for art festivals, markets, and a couple of my favorite small-town fall events—with lots of natural stone jewelry coming along for the ride.

I’m already working on new pieces for fall, including pendants, earrings, bracelets, and plenty of one-of-a-kind stones. And, as always, I’ll have my tools with me for on-site bracelet resizing.

Mineral Spotlight: Gypsum ✨

Soft, luminous, and surprisingly varied, gypsum can take on some incredible natural forms—from delicate desert roses to clear selenite and silky, fibrous satin spar.

With a Mohs hardness of just 2, gypsum is also a reminder that not every beautiful mineral is meant to be tough. Its softness is part of what makes its formations so distinctive—and why pieces made with gypsum deserve a little extra care.

I’m bringing leather back!

I used to make quite a few leather earrings, and lately I’ve been feeling inspired to revisit them with a little more of what I love now: natural stones, unexpected color combinations, texture, movement, and one-of-a-kind details.

These are some of the new designs I’ve been working on this week for the Austin ArtWorks Festival—from bright layered leather paired with Citrine and stone beads to earthy neutrals, Fluorite, Tiger’s Eye, Clear Quartz, and more.

They’re lightweight, a little funky, and definitely not your basic leather earrings.

This project started with a simple request: Could I make a meteorite bracelet?

My answer was yes—but first, I needed to figure out exactly what I was buying.

Meteorites aren’t an everyday jewelry material, and when you’re working with something rare, sourcing matters. I spent time researching different meteorites, learning what to look for, comparing sellers, and finding trusted sources where I felt confident in the authenticity and provenance of the material.

That search led me to Muonionalusta Meteorite, an iron meteorite discovered in northern Scandinavia. And somewhere along the way, the idea grew. If I was going to incorporate something that came from space, what could I pair with it to tell a bigger story?

Enter Libyan Desert Glass, a natural glass formed by an extraordinary high-energy event millions of years ago, and Ice Obsidian, a volcanic glass born here on Earth.

From there came the experimenting—different combinations, bead counts, proportions, layouts, and plenty of rearranging until the three materials finally felt right together.

The finished project is Master of the Universe: a bracelet connecting Earth, the sky, and the stars through three remarkable natural materials.

Grounding • Perspective • Transformation

And this one was every bit as much about the journey as the finished piece.

A day late, but we’re still meeting the stone. 😂💗

Kunzite has been sitting on my list for a while, and I’m glad it finally gets its turn. It’s one of those stones that can be easy to overlook next to louder, more dramatic gems—but the closer you look, the more interesting it gets.

And apparently I have a thing for stones that refuse to look exactly the same every time you look at them. 😂
