These raw amethyst stalactite slices are so awesome! The layers of color and texture show the history of how each stone was formed. Millions of years and changing conditions turned drips of mineral rich water into agate, quartz, and finally purple amethyst crystals. I made 5 necklaces and one pair of earrings. The necklaces are on 24” long sterling silver chains. Head over to the website to check them out! Feels good to be back making creative things after the holidays, always takes a few weeks to rest up after our busy season but we’re back at it and so excited about our new rocks :)

The saying Through Thick and Thin actually originated as a way to describe walking through the woods. The “thicket” being the hard to travel dense woods in contrast to the thinner easier to navigate areas. It has since become the phrase we use to describe staying steady through life. Continuing under all circumstances, no matter the conditions.

I created this double link necklace with one heavy hammered oval link and one thin one interlocked together. In my head I was referring to it as the “thick and thin” necklace and then I thought how cute would that be if it came with a little card to symbolize the saying. A sweet gift to thank someone for always having your back, to let someone know you’ll always be there or even as a personal reminder to sustain your effort through challenging times. These have been a popular gift and I’ve just popped another batch on the website 💗

we’ve been so busy these last few weeks working hard to keep the store and Etsy shop stocked up for our busiest time of year. Grateful for the support, thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏 last day to order for delivery by Christmas is the 16th with free shipping 🙌

Made three of these teal kyanite necklaces this week! The oxidized wire wrapping came out so cool after I made the first one I had to do a couple more 🥰. This was an experiment as I made a mistake on our metal order a few weeks back. I purchased a bunch of a wire temper and size we do not currently have a use for. I spent a day in the studio trying to figure out what I might make with it and it was just right for wrapping. Took me back to the old days when I started out! I’ve always had a fondness for wire wrapping and it was just right for this design. Solid Argentium sterling silver and 2 carat teal kyanite stones 💗 just listed on the website!

New clover hoops! Really loving these and they were fun to figure out how to get the shape just right. I make a lot of hoops, a big chunk of my time each week is spent restocking our best sellers. So far all of the hoops I make are round and I really loved thinking outside of the box to create these. We used to make this design as a drop earring years ago and I happened to see an old prototype on my bench and thought they’d make great post hoops and I’m so happy with how they came out! These are available on our website, let me know what you think! As always they’re solid, nickel free sterling silver. Polished to a high shine to catch the light beautifully ✨🪩

Paul crossing the finish line at the Hartford half marathon on Saturday! Repping the biz in his Lizardi Jewelry shirt 💗 I’d be in this pic but I’m 30 seconds behind him 😆 we were neck and neck throughout the course but he got me this year! Such a nice day, perfect time of year for running here in CT. We’ve done this race almost every year since 2012, I’ll have to train harder to get 30 seconds faster for next year 😂🙌

New Herkimer Diamond threader earrings just hit the site! I really love these, I had to keep a pair for myself 🥰

https://www.lizardijewelry.com/products/herkimer-diamond-threader-earrings

Herkimer diamonds aren’t really diamonds, they’re rare double terminated quartz gemstones. I think what’s so cool about them is that they aren’t cut or faceted by people but rather they are formed in this exact crystal structure with 18 facets. Six sides in the center, six on each end and a point on each end. Because they are formed naturally like this it can be a challenge to set them since they’re all unique. I experimented for a bit and came up with this little wire cage which is perfect to show off that gorgeous sparkle and raw crystal structure while holding them securely. I went with a threader style ear wire because these look amazing from all angles and that’s just what a threader does best. Lets you choose your length and they allow movement and light from every angle.

Herkimer diamonds are named that because when they were first discovered in Herkimer county New York, they were thought to be diamonds since they’re so clear and sparkly. These unique stones formed about 500 million years ago inside ancient dolostone rock. I love that they don’t undergo any treatment, no polishing or cutting of any kind they are natural, raw crystals straight from the earth. A tiny piece of ancient history 💎

This huge bear was in our backyard today! Figured out how to get into the can of birdseed, laid down and had a relaxing breakfast 😆. So cute! The same bear broke our bird feeder yesterday trying to get at the seed. It was suggested that we take the food away so he wouldn’t come back. Those people were correct 😂 he came back early this am to polish it off. I ran to get my camera so I could get some closeups ups and omg how adorable is this bear 😅💗🐻. This was in Somers CT. I guess we will stop putting food out for a bit. Think a week is enough down time for him to move on? The birds and squirrels are gonna be mad there’s no food so I don’t wanna wait too long lol. Barry is really shaking things up over here

Did you know there’s watercolor paint made from ground-up gemstones?! I just got some amethyst paint 😍 Pretty sure I can write off my art supplies now, right? 😂 the paint is gorgeous, sparkly once dry with beautiful gradients of purple and I got to play with it a bit today.
These amethyst necklaces I’ve been working on all week will be hitting the site tomorrow 🙌💗. I want to include a little painted something with each one but haven’t decided what yet. Still experimenting with the paint and ideas. Thought it would be cool to photograph them against some painted paper.
Really loving the way this prong setting lets light come up under and around these gorgeous checkerboard-cut stones 😍. I’ll share tomorrow once they go live and I’ve decided on the painted bonus that comes with each one.

Paul and I are working hard to keep things in stock over here and these hoops are going as fast as we can make them! I can’t believe there’s only 4 more shopping days left for free shipping to arrive by Christmas. The season is flying by!

Good morning!
I want to show you one of my more intricate designs, a necklace that’s been inspired by the moon. 🌙 Every part of it is handmade, and it’s such a labor of love.

🔗 The round stations are hammer textured to resemble the surface of the moon—subtle craters and all. The open circle stations hint at a crescent moon, with one side flared out and hammered for texture. I love how these heavier silver elements give the necklace a solid weight and substantial feel.

After linking everything together, it felt like it needed a little extra detail, so I added smaller, lighter circles in two sizes with a subtle texture. They gave the necklace just the right balance, and it now falls so beautifully.

It’s all connected with our sturdy 2mm cable chain, and every single link is securely welded shut. The adjustable length (33"-36") makes this piece incredibly versatile—perfect for dressing up or adding a special touch to everyday outfits.

Fun moon fact: Did you know the moon’s surface has been shaped by billions of years of meteor impacts? That’s how it gets its cratered look, and I love capturing that texture in this design. 🌔

Hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday season so far! I’m off to package up more orders, but if this necklace speaks to you, feel free to check it out on our website: https://www.lizardijewelry.com/products/33-inch-hammered-station-necklace Thank you for supporting handmade—you’re keeping this small business thriving during the busiest season of the year!
