I'm sorry what?! 10 YEARS!!! 😮 I opened my Etsy shop purely as a hobby to reignite an old passion of mine from childhood. At a young age, I loved BEADS! I would make bracelets and my sister would take a baggy of them to high school where she would sell them for me to her friends. She would come home with a wad of $1 bills and I felt on top of the world that my creations made actual money!
With this newfound confidence, I started setting up tables with my handmade bracelets, earrings and other beaded creations (think beaded lizards!)🦎 at my grandparents annual summer garage sales. I always got such positive feedback from all the attendees (and made money!). I was just a child, but looking back, this gave me the motivation I needed to keep going! 🏃🏼♀️
As I grew and my hobby grew, my parents cleared a spot for my very own craft table in our family computer room so I had a space to create. All of these events led up to where I am and who I am today! My family were always (and still am!) my number one supporters!!!
Obviously there were lulls in my story. Many years I stopped beading (school, jobs and boys got in my way!!). But so so thankful I picked it back up in my twenties! Brooklyn Rose Beads was born May 15th, 2016.
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!! Thank you for thinking of me for your party favors, your teacher gifts, your vacation stacks, your day-to-day 'just because' bracelets. I can't thank you enough for all your repeat orders. I wouldn't be here without YOU!
