We've been working hard to make a detailed basic Harvest Faire FAQ! Please read through the following carefully.
Weather: Rain or Shine. The call to end the event early due to weather will be posted on social media.
Entertainment Schedule: The full entertainment schedule can be found right on the website for extra convenience: https://harvestfaireva.org/HF.html
Bee Mindful: Breezy Hill is a functioning apiary, meaning all the honey used to produce the mead and honey is harvested on site. Please adhere to the 12 MPH MAXIMUM speed limit and do not disturb the hives.
Admission: Admission to Harvest Faire is free! We will be accepting donations for the food bank throughout the day. Donations are completely voluntary, but any support is greatly appreciated.
Parking & Shuttle: Satellite parking at Darden’s Country Store is $5 per vehicle (everyone in your vehicle is covered by the one fee). The shuttle will begin running at 8:45 a.m. We will have two 28-passenger vans running between Darden’s Country Store and the Faire grounds. The shuttle should make approximately four round trips per hour, depending on traffic and loading times.
On-site parking at Breezy Hill is $20 per vehicle and is first come, first served. Parking will be in the field next to the meadery. We will only have this one field available for on-site parking this year, as the other fields are being used for harvesting. This decision to charge for parking was not taken lightly, but was deemed incredibly necessary due to the scarcity of on-site parking and to help pay for shuttle services.
Coin of the Realm: Cash and card are acceptable forms of tender for the faire. Please keep in mind, especially for VIP parking, it is cash only.
Service Animals: Only task-trained service animals are permitted on the Faire grounds. Per ADA guidelines, this does not include Emotional Support Animals (ESAs), therapy animals, or pets. We will be following these guidelines strictly and cannot make exceptions.
Security & Weapons: Security will be present throughout the Faire. No weapons are permitted on the property. For those dressing up: if it has a metal blade, sharp or dull, it must be peace-tied. Please see flyer below.
Anyone who violates these policies or harasses other guests, vendors, entertainers, or staff may be asked to leave the Faire. Local authorities may be contacted when appropriate. In some cases, it can result in banishment from the Kingdom. No exceptions.
First Aid & Emergencies: First aid will be available on-site in case of an emergency. If you are experiencing a serious or life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or notify a member of the Harvest Faire staff or security immediately.
Wooded Areas: This is an outdoor event. While we have done much to prepare the grounds for guests, please watch your feet, do tick checks when you get home, keep our grounds clean, and do not feed the wildlife.
Our goal is to make Harvest Faire a fun and welcoming event for everyone. Thanks for helping us keep it that way!
