Our Story
Hi! We are Mike and Betsy Martin and we are the proud owners of Sidney Flower Shop!
Our road to ownership of the Sidney Flower Shop has been an adventure. I was a nurse. Mike worked in Human Resources at Honda. We decided to quit our jobs and open up a flower and gift shop in Anna, Ohio. Our vision was a cottage style shop, so we took an old house and created just that!
One day, we were approached by owners of Sidney Flower Shop to buy them out because they were ready to retire. They share the same Christian values as we do so the connection was instant! During the process of getting to know them and the Sidney Flower Shop, we fell in love with the shop and the idea of community and history that stands behind it. They owned it for 38 years and prior to that, his dad owned it for 30 plus years. Our family is determined to continue the Sidney Flower Shop legacy of quality products, customer service, and giving back to the community.
Our shop really is a family affair! I can’t stand working with my husband but every time I fire him, he just comes back. He says he loves spending time with me???
