The ginkgo has been having a moment in my studio lately.

Rings in progress here — but also earrings and pendants taking shape alongside them. The ginkgo has been one of my most requested pieces all summer and I’ve been doing my best to keep up with her.

There’s something about the ginkgo leaf that I never get tired of working with. The shape. The way it fans out. The fact that ginkgo trees have been on this earth for over 200 million years and somehow that feels right to hold in your hand in silver.

More of these coming to Born in a Barn · September 18–19 · Sheridan, WY

I haven’t posted in a few days. Here’s why.

I’m at one of those crossroads moments in my business where I can feel that something needs to shift — I just haven’t figured out exactly what yet.

I love what I make. I love the conversations at shows, the moment someone picks up a piece and something crosses their face. I love that my work is tangible and meaningful and made by hand. But I’m also one person, doing all of this alone, traveling more than I want to, trying to be present for my family while also building something real.

We just started homeschool this week after two back to back shows in Colorado. My husband is away on a fire. Three big shows are coming in the next three weeks, starting with my favorite show of the year — Born in a Barn right here in Sheridan — and I’m struggling to feel ready for any of it.

So today’s post is just this. An honest check-in from someone who is figuring it out in real time.

I’m still here. Still making things. Still showing up — even when I’m not sure how.

Thanks for being patient with me.

Post show brain fog is real and I am deep in it.

Two back to back show weekends. Camping in between. Got home, husband immediately left for his own trip. Homeschool starting. Three big shows to prep for. Customs to finish. Life doing what life does.

So today’s post is our little communal garden harvest with a couple of neighboring families.

Peppers. Cucumber. Whatever else is in there. Grown by actual humans with actual dirt on their hands.

I’ll be back with jewelry content when my brain reconnects with my body. In the meantime — vegetables.

Denver — this one has a little extra excitement.

I’ll be at the Highland’s Summer Finale this Saturday and Sunday, August 29–30, 10am–5pm at the Masonic Lodge in the Highlands neighborhood — 3550 Federal Blvd.

And on Sunday at noon, they’re drawing for a $1,000 shopping spree.

You have to be there to win. Just saying.

I’ll have new pieces, one of a kind work, and everything that’s been coming out of the studio this summer. Come find something that feels like yours — and stick around Sunday for the drawing.

I’m finding that I need to disappear from social media for a few days after shows, just to reconnect to myself and shift my brain.

Since I’m doing back to back shows in Colorado, we stuck around and are camping up in the mountains. I got to get an early morning paddle in, before we headed to the closest little town to get our flat tire fixed. So now we’re kind of stuck for the day…

But… I’ll be back at the Highlands Summer Finale in Denver this weekend, so come find me!

And while you’re at it, try to find the osprey and bald eagle in the last picture. They’ve been entertaining us for the last couple days.

Today was a little chaotic.

No phone signal, weather that went from sunny to rainy and back again more times than I could count, and some interesting creative solutions for processing purchases.

But the people. The people were wonderful.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Evergreen Fine Arts Festival today — your support means everything. Day 2 is tomorrow, Sunday August 23, 10am–5pm.

Come out if you can. Rain or shine, I’ll be there.

A feather. Two mountains. A daisy with a yellow sapphire.

No theme. No plan. Just four pieces that were in my head and wouldn’t leave until I made them.

They’ll be at the Evergreen Fine Arts Festival this weekend — August 22–23 · 10–5pm · Evergreen CO.

Come find the one that’s yours.
