Shelton Day 2025: A Community Celebration at Veterans Park with a Vision for Downtown 2026

Shelton Day 2025 will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, and we’re excited to continue the tradition of bringing our community together! We’ve had some great planning meetings with key supporters—Eric McPherson, Benjamin Perry (Board of Aldermen), Captain Robert Kozlowsky, and Deputy Chief Kevin Stratton—who are helping us work toward bringing Shelton Day back to downtown Shelton in 2026.

We've received enthusiastic feedback from the community expressing strong interest in bringing the event back to downtown Shelton. We recognize that doing so will increase expenses and require additional planning, especially to ensure the safety of all attendees. However, we’re committed to working together to make it happen, and we need the support of the community to turn that vision into reality.
In the meantime, please join us this year at Veterans Memorial Park for a fun-filled day with Shelton families, delicious food, local vendors, children's activities, and live music on Sunday, October 5th. Let’s make this year a success and build momentum for an even bigger Shelton Day in 2026!

Shelton Day is a very special day in downtown Shelton on the first Sunday in October every year. Thousands of people will descend on Veteran's Memorial Park for another full day of fall fun.

Shelton Day Lineup!
Join us at the riverwalk, Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Liquid Love is a Freddie Hubbard tribute band featuring Dave Livolsi (B), Dan Donofrio (T), Mike Godette (G), Darren Litzie (K) and Tyger MacNeal (D). They will play from 11:00 to 12::00 and then again from 12:30 to 1:30.

Eight to the Bar is a six-piece swing band: https://eighttothebar.com/ they will play from 3:00 to 5:00

Mrs. Connecticut American is Liza Lee Gambino. Come meet her in the Rotary tent around 11:00. She will speak briefly and introduce Mayor Lauretti at noon.
