Medieval German miners blamed underground spirits called Kobolds for the ore that made them sick and destroyed their silver yields, and when they named it after those spirits, the name cobalt was born.

Cobalt is now one of the most sought-after elements on Earth for use in electric vehicles and modern technology, is what gives Cobalto Calcite its extraordinary depth of color.
