As someone who makes everything by hand, this one hits close. A lot of what goes into each piece happens behind the scenes. Time, patience, a lot of hours at the bench. Worth every minute though.

September birthstone is sapphire and if you know your stones, you've probably heard of its lesser known twin, Iolite.

Often called the "Water Sapphire," Iolite has that same deep blue violet energy but with this incredible quality where the color actually shifts depending on the angle you're looking at it. It's one of those stones you have to see in person to really get it.

Today is International Diamond Day and you KNOW I had to show up for this one.

Black diamonds are in a category of their own. Same brilliance as a traditional white diamond but darker, moodier, more unexpected. A solitaire setting is all it needs...no distractions, just that deep rich sparkle doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

💚 August birthstone is peridot and it could not be more perfectly timed for summer.

That bright, electric green catches light in a way that's hard to describe until you're actually holding it...it almost glows. And it photographs beautifully too...which never hurts. Every peridot piece looks a little different depending on the stone and the setting, that's kind of what makes it special.

Shoutout to all the August birthdays. You got a good one 🌿

If there's one piece that just feels like summer, it's a good bracelet.

Something about the way a stone catches the light when you're outside, peridot with that bright electric green, aquamarine with that cool clear blue, turquoise with all that history and character. These are the stones I keep reaching for this time of year and they all translate beautifully into a bracelet you can wear every single day.

Stack them, wear one solo, layer with what you already have, all of it works!

🌙 Happy National Moon Day!

Rainbow moonstone is one of my favorite stones to work with and it makes complete sense on a day like today. That blue shimmer it gives off depending on the light, it literally looks like moonlight trapped inside a stone. Every piece catches it differently. There's really nothing else like it.
