Hi, I'm Harriet, the artist behind Bold and Shimmer Designs. Exploring the desert southwest is a huge influence on my work. The colors, flavors, people, and landscapes all bring texture to my designs. I especially admire the intricate beadwork of Native American ceremonial regalia and was inspired to learn the techniques. Those complex techniques are used in my bead-embroidered creations. Each pie

ce is painstakingly crafted over many hours with beads sewn on one-by-one. I am also a big fan of folk art, such as mosaic. Mosaic art has been practiced down through the ages and continues to evolve. My mosaic works include wall art, frames, and 3D decorative objects that incorporate stained glass, crockery, vintage jewelry and found objects.
