Adrienne came to me with a stunning (but broken) emerald-cut emerald she’d been wearing as her engagement stone.
We talked about how to save it, not replace it.
Using her heirloom diamonds from a few older pieces, I reworked everything into a bold 11mm wide cigar band in 14k white gold with 24 flush-set diamonds. This time, I suggested a bezel for the emerald-still a little risky, but far more protective than prongs 😅
Instead of fully recutting the emerald (which would have made it too small), I carefully shaved down the damaged edge so we could preserve as much of the original stone as possible. The result feels fresh…and completely one-of-a-kind.
Made a couple years ago, but the azaleas are back and POPPIN’ in Savannah right now, so it felt like the right moment to bring this one out for you all to see! 🌺
