This came up in my memories today. It is one of my very first necklace designs using free form bead weaving. I called it Seaside Rendezvous. I had gathered the shells from the Florida beaches as we traveled in our motor home down to the Florida Keys. Some of my treasures were parts of shells that I thought had wonderful texture, and in order to use them, I had to shape them with a flat grinder and then put beaded bezels around them. I had a lot of fun creating the fringe and figuring out how to incorporate and secure the shells with beads. The photo really isn't the best as it was taken when I was just learning to take photos of my work. Seeing it today brought up a longing to do more art with beads.
