Pikachu, I choose you!

I had to finish sewing him together after my daughter fell asleep last night so she wouldn't claim him for herself! I also realized last night that pins become your best friend when putting together a stuffed toy that has a lot of pieces that need to be symmetrical, especially when you're a little obsessive about that in your artwork. I'm hoping to make at least 5 more before Saturday, wish me luck!

I've been working on some new items for an upcoming craft show that I hope to be part of. This cute bird will be a nice ornament, but I'm thinking of putting a little lavender inside the next ones I make for a little something more.

I've recently discovered the amazing world of hand dyed and luxury fiber, and it's reignited my passion for knitting (but I would still say that crochet is my first love). For the two months or so I have been working with nothing but natural fiber yarns and have loved every minute of it. Because they are a LOT more expensive than acrylic yarn, I don't think I will be trying to sell anything made from them, but I will still post pictures of my finished objects, along with the info on the yarn I used in case you want to know.

One of the biggest things I have loved about buying all of this new yarn is knowing that my money is going to small businesses and independent artists who are making a living doing what they love, and that's just made my whole crafting experience that much more enjoyable.

I've been so busy with work this last year I haven't been keeping up with my page, but I'm going to try hard to make up for that. I have a few orders and I'm starting on Christmas gifts, I'm also going to plan a giveaway soon so keep an eye out for that. All of the decorations that are popping up in stores really put me in the halloween spirit, so I've decided to work on a little decorating of my own. Plus, my sister's baby blanket really has me loving the purple and green combo, and these shades just scream halloween to me. Most of what I make is either gifted or sold, but I think this one might be a keeper. Of course, I can always make another if anyone wants one! Just send me a message! (Please ignore the strands of yarn hanging off, this is a work in progress and I always clean up my projects at the end 😊)
