with diamonds, turquoise, Mediterranean coral, and Australian opals – to reflect the rich cultural heritage of northern New Mexico – has since become a hallmark of his trade, but he no longer works from home. Located on the historic Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe Goldworks is an established showcase of his exquisite blend of old world and contemporary artistry. Each piece is now handmade by outstanding jewelry designers from David’s original sketches, in an elaborate process consisting of lost-wax casting, cutting and inlaying stones, sanding, and polishing. The result is one-of-a-kind signature pieces exhibiting workmanship that far surpasses the materials, and are sought after by collectors the world over.
