My Jewelry Journey

A little about me and how I got started making jewelry...In 2005 I was living in NH with my family, I had just moved back the previous year from CA. I had a degree in design but two small children I wanted to be home with. I went to visit my brother and his then girlfriend Ashly. She made my 3 yr old daughter a bracelet and came over to me with these containers of neatly arranged colorful beads... she was excited to show me her collection.

It was love at first sight. I don't know whether it was the colors, the organization or the shiny beads that enthralled me but it did big time!! I started gathering some supplies of my own and Bellaforma took off. I mainly sold at home parties, vendor events, boutiques, and to other Moms and basically trekked my pieces all over. I enjoyed doing this for quite a while then moved back to California shortly after...the business was dormant for many years while I worked in real estate. My brother Dan ended up marrying the beautiful Ashly and sadly she passed away before their first anniversary. 😩😢 Cervical cancer took her young exuberant life but she fought brave and strong and never EVER gave up hope.
