C O N N I E earrings ✨

“Connie” is a reference to constellations and stars.
Like we see the stars twinkle, the barbells are kinetic and move back and forth.

This particular iteration is inspired by me. I used the shape of my sign to mark out the barbells positioning ♋️
It’s almost that time of year!

I went to see Project Hail Mary this past weekend at the theaters! It’s feeling like all things space and stars and the galaxy 🌌

Out of a desire to use scraps from other projects (internal voice 😱 - don’t waste any metal!) I started to really experiment (essentially, play around and see what happens) and began making different sized smelted flat sided balls. The possibilities are still endless for reusing my scraps. But in this instance, the whole process was a bit of fun and my internal vision sharpened and the idea came together as the components formed. The texture, the 3D relief, the fusing of the metal evolved into this line of jewelry. It expresses some of the most artistic flare out of all the jewelry I make and I just love it🥰

At the end of the day I am just a woman pushing my limits and seeing what is possible.
