Black 31 was founded in San Francisco in May of 2013 by Josef Desimone and David Bobrick. Their vision was to create high quality jewelry inspired by rock n' roll and tattoo culture at a reasonable price. Joey, an avid jewelry collector, was unimpressed with the quality of jewelry on the market, so he tapped into the artistic skills of world famous tattooer Dave Bobrick in order to create unique h

andcrafted jewelry produced right here in the United States. As Joey and Dave's visions for the company were starting to come to fruition, Joeys life was cut short in a tragic motorcycle accident. Staying focused on the goals they set for the company, and at the urging of Joey's family and friends, Dave has continued to design and produce works of art that will awe and inspire jewelry collectors worldwide.
