Third meow’s a charm! We are so happy to host Ryoji Bannai’s hand-carved wooden cat show for a third time at Kolekto✨
From Friday, June 5th through July 5th, 2026, you’ll be able to see these whimsical little cats in our store once again. We received lots of feedback from previous shows that you wanted to see cats in even more patterns and poses, so this time we’ll be featuring pieces that we’ve never seen in San Francisco before!
Please visit our Hayes Valley store this weekend to experience the most complete collection of the exhibition, as our cats often find homes quickly❤️
All cats will be available for purchase in-store only during the 1-2 weeks of the show. After that, the remaining pieces will be available online. Please email or send us a direct message with any questions. International shipping will be available on a case-by-case basis as well.

Ryoji Bannai is a Japanese wood-carving artist based in Saitama, Japan. He began his career as a painter, but soon became fascinated with the challenge of bringing cats into three dimensions. From that fascination grew his life’s work of carving little lifelike cats from wood.
Every action of a cat is a work of art—whether it’s a tiny gesture, a calm pose, or a swift movement. Ryoji creates each carving with love, believing that “Anyone who loves cats will understand!”
Please enjoy Ryoji’s world of these little palm-sized cats.
