We met 5 years ago with one commonality, we wanted to learn how to use this platform to share our stories.

We met weekly, talked about algorithms and posts, writing and messages.

And slowly it turned into deep conversations that hit the deepest parts of our souls.

5 years later, the way this friendship was ordained is quite the story to tell.

These ladies know my deepest struggles, challenges, hopes and dreams that not many get to see a glimpse of. They have stood by my through some of the hardest seasons of my life, listening, praying, discerning.

One day we will share the story, about how God brought 5 women together from different sides of the United States, and nurtured a friendship that is truly one of a kind.

Processing the loss of Charlie Kirk and my heart is shattered into a million pieces.
Pieces for his followers, his supporters, his community, his family, friends, wife, his children...

I don't care what side of the political boundary you fall on. I dont care your personal belief, your non-negotiables. I dont care your ideology, your inclusion, your gender or your identification...

None. Of. This. Matters.

We lost a life well spent yesterday.
A life led to understanding the lives if others.
A life led to challenge the status quo and raise the bar.
A life created to bring change, understanding, and growth.
A life led by Kingdom truth.

This should teach us all about the value of a voice in the midst of darkness.
The value of a life no less valuable than your own.
The value of knowing that someone, non-violently, led a life meant to reach those who did not see the same way he did, and yet reconciled truth and fact over feeling and emotion.
And all by Grace.

Today is a loss for every single community. Every single voice that wants to be heard and understood. No matter what side you stand on, Charlie Kirk led the way to more grace, compassion, and humanity for us all.

The loss of life will never be justified at the hands of evil.

RIP Charlie. You paved the way for us to rise out of these ashes and continue your legacy. For you Charlie. For your wife, your children, your ministry, your voice.

There is such a deep story of redemption within these pages.

A story yet to tell, but promises kept in the most unexpected ways.

A few years ago, a 25 year friendship came to a grinding halt. Everything I thought I knew was no more, and everything i had hoped would become would no longer be.

Friendship loss is hard. Change is hard. Life is hard.

But there are restoration promises only the Lord can fulfill if we believe and trust in His goodness.

His goodness. His grace. His mercy.

I see images and videos of this book at Target, Amazon, Barnes and Noble.

One of my most broken moments redeemed time and time again.

A story of heartbreak to renewal by His hands.

My story is one of many. Because life happens, I know you will find yourself engaged in many pieces of this devotional, knowing your struggle with lonliness doesn't make you alone.

In my deepest despair.
Through a season in my life, I felt hopeless, lost, misunderstood, and alone.
In battles lost.
And battles won.
And hard goodbyes that never quite settled.

I never thought part of the story, my story, a story would be a promise to those who are hurting too.

To say I've hit a milestone is to make a promise that I've only just begun.

I can't wait to see what God does with the rest of my story.

Thank you all who said "write the story" to those who ordered the book, to those who prayed with me, cried with me, loved me through it all. You know who you are. This is for you.

A compilation of promises and hope, and "I see you in your deepest pain." I'm honored to have written alongside so many talented writers.

I remember writing this during a time in my life that felt utterly hopeless. I hadn't lost everything, my family and marriage was still strong as ever, but I had lost so much of everything else I had known in and around my life, that the heartbreak was somedays, unbearable. I remember thinking no one would ever read this vulnerable part of my heart, a story of what it looks like to walk through loss and how to come out the other side.

When God says He will make beauty from ashes, it is truth I feel deep in my soul. To take my ashes story, one piece of a series of broken dreams, and turn it into something as beautiful as this devotional, was His redemption story. This opportunity to share my heart in hopes that if you walk through a season of loneliness, you won't ever feel alone, is beauty.

It's not what I expected, but I am honored and humbled to be able to share this piece of my heart and life with you.
