This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the women behind Lumily.
The artisans who weave, bead, stitch, and create each piece with skill, patience, and purpose.
Their work carries traditions forward, supports families, and turns creativity into opportunity.
We’re honored to know the hands and stories behind what we share with the world.
Happy Labor Day! ♡

Possibly the worst business strategy I’ve ever shared on the internet: Please buy less stuff. 😂
But when you DO buy something, ask who made it. Ask where it came from. Think about where your money goes after you hit “checkout.”
Because I’d rather sell you one handmade piece you’ll use for years than five things you’ll forget you own by next month.
Less stuff. More meaning. Better choices.
That’s a sales pitch I can live with.

More than a little doll. 💛
She carries a tradition of comfort, hope, and letting go.

Worry dolls are traditionally given your worries at bedtime. You tell them what’s on your mind, tuck them away.💖

Here, that tradition goes wherever you do. ✨

Somehow, this became my job. ❤️
Boats, tuk-tuks, tiny workshops, piles of textiles and a whole lot of time sitting with the people behind the products we create.
17 years later, I still believe the best way to do business is to show up. To know who you work with. To come back. To build something together.
Turns out leaving corporate America worked out pretty well. 😉

Some accessories are meant to blend in.
These are not those accessories. 😉
Bold color, beautiful details, and plenty of personality. Basically, the finishing touch your outfit was waiting for.
Which one would you wear?

Plot twist: there are actual humans behind the things you buy. 🤯

For 16 years, Lumily has chosen the slower way. Real relationships. Traditional techniques. Fair trade. Pieces made by people whose names we know, not anonymous factories.

Call us old fashioned, but we think that matters. 🤍

The bag that keeps your hands free and your story close. 🌈 Handwoven in Guatemala, each f***y pack brings together bold color, everyday function, and the hands of the artisan who made it.

Which color are you carrying? 👀

Phone, keys, cards, AirPods, lip gloss. There’s room for the essentials without carrying a full bag. Multiple zippered pockets keep the little things easy to find.

Before it becomes your everyday bag, it begins on a traditional foot loom in Guatemala. Each textile is woven by hand, bringing the skill and tradition of Guatemalan artisans into something you can use every day.

Wear it around your waist or sling it across your body. The adjustable strap keeps your essentials close while leaving your hands free for everything else.

Not every footbag starts with yarn. 🧵✨
These are handmade from upcycled corte, the traditional handwoven skirt fabric worn by Maya women in Guatemala. Every panel is cut from remnant textiles, so no two are ever the same.
Each one is stitched by hand by Laura and Francisco, filled with recycled pellets, and made to be played, kicked, stalled, and shared.
The differences aren’t imperfections. They’re the whole point. 🥹
Available now as singles or assorted 2-packs.

This tote takes HOURS to make. And once you see how, you get it. 👀 Rebeca weaves every Poppy Tote by hand on a traditional backstrap loom in the highlands of Mexico. No factory. No shortcuts. Just generations of skill behind every single row of color. ❤️
And because seeing the process makes us love it even more, we’re sharing the love.
Comment TOTE and we’ll DM you 20% off the Poppy Tote.

No sad beige school supplies here. 🌈

Back to school is way more fun with bold color, handmade details and pieces nobody else in class will have. From backpacks and pencil cases to scrunchies, hats and the cutest little zipper pulls, every piece is made by artisan partners in Guatemala.
