Heh, this was fun. A good friend commissioned me to make three more pairs of my skulls-and-evil-eye earrings, and she picked then up yesterday. I had so much fun making them I made a few more pairs and put them up at etsy.com/shop/DesignWithinJewelry, but I wanted to try putting multiple items in the same listing. There's slight variations in the beads so I wanted to have separate photos, and I didn't want to get precious with a photo shoot. So I cut out magazine numbers and stuck them to myself with a glue stick so the wind wouldn't blow them away 😀

I'm not 100% sure I've got the listing set up properly, it lets you choose the one you want but not multiple ones, so if you see two you'd like send me a message and we'll work something out. Free shipping of course 😁

Before they moved to Canada my friends John and Keith gave me another bag of beads, this one a cloth bag full of colorful seed and glass beads. They were so fun to work with, and I added in a few of the Mardi Gras beads they gave me, and one bracelet has some of the howlite skulls beads I've been meaning to use.

Post Comic-Con carnage! (With bonus shot of Cricket, who has some thoughts on people who spend all day at SDCC.)

For those keeping track, the thin rectangle pendants were the winner this year, nudging out last year's favorite, the triangles, by a country mile. And the newcomers, the clockwork gears, did well enough that they'll definitely make a return next year, especially the ones with colored resin.

My display at the San Diego Comic-Con Art Show is up! They were very cool and let me pick the same spot as last year, super happy with it. Thank you to Erin and all the volunteers for all the help!

The Art Show is July 24-27th at the Manchester Grand Hyatt a few doors down from the Convention Center. No badge required for entry, there are tons of amazing artists showing their work, stop by and do some shopping!

(And while my jewelry is there, I won't be, the Art Show staff handles everything so you can find me at the Convention Center 😀

My SDCC Art Show jewelry display is done, here's a sneak peek before I drop it off at the show tomorrow morning. (Every year I try to make the labels on the back a little less chaotic, with varying degrees of success 😀

Definitely happy with how this one turned out. I took a heart shaped setting, cut some tinfoil to fit the top half and poured a little red colored resin on top, waiting till it cured a little before adding the black board at the bottom. Once that had set I added the cogwheel decoration and covered it in clear resin. Now I want to make more 😀
