The process of my Starfish setting many moons ago! This before all these “reels” became invented. Had to have process pictures for my entry to jury in Metalwork Jewelry at the Spanish Village Art Center . I did make in as an artist and was there for a few years. This was my third attempt applying as an artist there. I was determined! 🤣 Still@at it! Setting stones I haven’t done for quite sometime, but when it’s time it’s time. 💫

Little cuties finished with a Swarovski Crystal Butterfly! You CANNOT BUY SWAROVSKI beads or components anymore. These are from my own bead/supply hoarding vault! 🤣🤪 Anything you have made with this brand of crystals “do not get rid of it”. As a collector of vintage… this will be the high end vintage your grandchildren will cherish. My only pair.

Abalone with semi-precious stones in Fluorite, Apatite, Peridot, Chrysocolla, Aquamarine and beads in recycled metal from Africa!
Here’s a fun fact:
The rustic free formed abalone pieces come from Hawaii! But abalone doesn’t thrive in warm waters? So then I go investigating… there is a farm/lab that grows them on the big island… but I can’t see these getting loose into the ocean since it’s within a facility. The other way which I researched was pieces will travel across on ocean currents strong enough due to big storms. These pieces have age to them as well! They must have come from those huge abalone shells you find in Northern California that are super thick and have been living forever. That makes way more sense to me.
