Ellie & Nic met when they were eight years old at one of their favorite places, Camp Longhorn — Ellie from Houston and Nic from Tyler. Ten years later, they both ended up at UT, where Nic asked Ellie to be his date to their first football game.
They spent the next few years in the same circle as friends, until something shifted during quarantine in 2020. Between regular FaceTimes and their senior year at UT, the timing finally lined up — though Nic will tell you he’s had a crush on Ellie since Camp Longhorn.
Since then, there have been countless Texas football weekends, lake trips, and a habit of over-ordering at every new restaurant in town.
When the time came, a May storm rerouted Nic’s proposal plans from Ski Shores to his parents’ front porch, where he somehow managed to completely surprise Ellie— no small feat 💍✨
