This post has been a difficult one to write. It’s hard not to cry. I went back and forth. I may be doing this last minute but she deserves to be honored.
This year’s National Dog Day hits harder. We lost our sweet, precious Britta earlier this year. She was the sweetest dog who loved affection and snuggles. She was so loyal. She was so loving. She was so appreciative. Just precious. Her absence has left a huge void in our lives no other dog can fill.
It’s just so painful to lose a pet — someone who’s always been by your side through the ups and downs. Hug your pets a little extra today. Give them treats and extra love. They deserve it.
To those missing their pets today, I know how you feel and I am with you.
I’ll share more about her whenever I feel it’s right.
