🎥 Behind the Scenes: Photographing Outerwear for My Resale Business! 🧥✨

Today, I'm switching up my process! Normally, I use my trusty dress form to showcase my outerwear, but I wasn’t feeling like rolling it out of the closet. Instead, we’re going flat-lay style! (Not my fave, but sometimes you’ve got to adapt!)

Here’s my step-by-step for photographing outerwear like a pro:
1️⃣ Front & Back Shots – Always capture clear, full views of the garment.
2️⃣ Measurements in Photos – I include numeric details in the listing, but snapping a pic of the measuring tape in action builds trust and transparency for buyers.
3️⃣ Detail Close-Ups – Pockets, labels, quilted patterns—show off what makes your piece unique!
4️⃣ Versatility Features – For this jacket, I took extra shots with and without the removable hood to highlight its options.

📸 Pro Tip: Quality photos sell your product. Highlight the details and give your buyer confidence!

I stand corrected!eBay’s Feb 4th roll out is only for Private UK Sellers and Resellers. This will effect QC Consigns team, but those of you who only have stores registered in the USA this will NOT effect you! 🎊🎉📣.This is being tested in the UK! 🇬🇧 Can not say if or when it will roll out in the USA, praying it never does🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. Usually guidelines start and is tested in one region or other regions and then roll out as a mass. Hoping this one stays away for a very long time!

Stop just focusing on how many sales you accumulated in a week or even in a month, but start looking at how many hours do you put into sourcing your product. From photographing your product, cleaning your product, listing your product, Customer service and packaging your item?

If you were to actually calculate how many hours it takes you to find, list, sell and ship an item… how much do you actually make in an hour?

When you start thinking about your profits in that way, you will start looking at how you spend your time developing your brand in a very different way! So, make sure every hour you spend in your business is worth your time.

I spent eight hours total on these listings displayed in this post that sold. I made over $1700 which came out to be a little over $200 an hour. I literally only spent eight hours on those listings from start to finish including shipping them out. I would say that is a great payday! 🤗🎊🎉🍾
