When they first saw the green tourmaline marquise stones, they immediately thought of peacock feathers.

That idea became this necklace a 14-karat yellow gold, green tourmaline marquise stones and peacock keshi pearls, brought together entirely by hand.

They kept returning to the same thought, “there will never be another one exactly like it. Even if bentons set out to make it again, the result would be entirely its own.”

That is the nature of truly custom work.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

Bernd Munsteiner changed the way the world looked at gemstones.

Beginning in the 1960s, he broke from traditional cutting, carving into stones, leaving areas unpolished, and using geometry and negative space as part of the design.

The stone itself became the work of art.

Another Munsteiner, now on the bench at Benton’s.

Coming this holiday season.
