Please share this page with your friends & family. My name is Me-Daya, I'm twenty seven years, and I create and design jewelry. I've been making jewelry for about 15 years now, it doesn't feel like that long when you love what you've been doing for all that time! I found myself making more and more jewelry, but not enough days in the year to wear all of it myself. I started to sell locally, and it
really grew from there. I am majorly self taught in the art of crafting jewelry. I did have a class my freshman year of high school, and it really taught me some of the basics that I wasn't aware of yet and helped me to hone my skills thanks to my wonderful Art Teacher who became such a large part of my life that I still talk to her on a regular basis and go back to my high school to talk in the jewelry class that I took all those years ago. Also, during my high school years, I entered some national high school art competitions with my jewelry with high hopes, and my hopes were met. I entered Pittsburgh Technical Institutes Vision and Voices art competition in the years of 2009, 2010, and 2011. Each year, I placed Best in Category for the jewelry category. As well as 2nd place and an honorable mention in 2011, my senior year. I still have all my competition pieces and awards in cases and frames. They remind me that I am good at something, and that something makes me incredibly happy. Jewelry made me realize how beautiful and needed art is in the world around us, and made me try other forms of art. I also paint, draw, write, knit, and sculpt. Although 3D art tends to be what I enjoy the most, nothing surpasses jewelry crafting for me. I don't know where I would be today without. Fifteen years ago, a few beads and stringing material opened so many doors for me, to my passion. Now, I'm just sharing my jewelry, what makes me happy, my passion with all of you. Thanks for taking time to read about how I ended up here, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
