DON'T EVER THROW AWAY SCRAP CLAY!!! Sorry for yelling, but this is a very important matter. ;) Scrap clay has an infinite amount of uses. I recently played around with a bit I had and I was pleasantly surprised at the results. There was scrap clay leftover from the faux Jade I blended to make the trinket bowls I created a few months ago. [ 474 more words ]

A month ago I purchased two succulents from New Dream World, a shop on Etsy, for a birthday gift to myself. I had favorited several different specimens in several different shops and finally decided on a shop to buy from. I have been considering making myself a silicone heart mold for a few months. In my collection there are a few hearts,that I kept trying to make work for me by manipulating the clay after removing it from the mold. I could never get quite the right shape. I have made free formed hearts before, and I like the look of these and enjoy creating them,but I still had a need for a mold. [ 712 more words. ]

I am one of those people who will take off their ring, throw it on the counter, loose it among the other random stuff cluttering the space, then search the house frantically searching for it, to almost knock it down the garbage disposal while doing the dishes...sooo, I decided to make tiny ring bowls for my bathroom sink, craft table and bedside. In June I purchased a cross silicone rubber mold from Master Molds , an Etsy shop. I was very pleased with the item I received, it's a fairly deep mold,so it creates a nice sized copy whether I am using polymer clay or epoxy resin. I finally found time to make a few polymer clay pendants and two necklaces using my new mold. [ 85 more words. ]
