Aesthetic Arrest started with a dozen silver thumb rings. Sometime in the hot Florida summer of 2014 was when I decided I was
going to take on the beauty of working with metal. I was sitting at home and thought to myself, "I want to make silver rings!" and that was that. Even though it was not as simple as saying "I want to make silver rings" I taught myself the ins and outs and I started with a ton of silver thumb rings for my friends. I was giving them out left and right and it filled my heart that everyone loved them. Towards the end of 2015 is when I decided I would pour my soul into it. Taking on new challenges and combining my love for music into my pieces. A collaboration of energies so to speak. Music plays a huge roll in influencing the piece I am working on. If you look at my listings each piece has a name, That name comes from which ever song I am listening to as I finish the piece. My creative inspirations also consist of a vast array of people places and things. The darker side of beauty, A glowing darkness if you will. Not only the love of life and the love of nature but also the mysterious side of dark romanticism and the poets from that era, Romance, The night sky, The universe, The nature of the conscious and subconscious minds, Lucid dreaming, The unknown, Connections, Magnetism, Mysteries, Enigma and Gothic architecture to name a few. I make pieces that are the most simplistic to the most extravagant and everything in between. I just enjoy every aspect of working with metal and stones and being able to put my pieces in the world. I enjoy my craft and am so very passionate about it and I hope you will enjoy them as well!
