I think I finally cracked the code.

After 41 years of trial and error, I’ve landed on a system that actually works for my brain.
Maybe it’ll work for yours too.

At the start of this year, I began doing The Artist’s Way, and with it—morning pages:
Three handwritten pages, first thing every morning.

And when I skip it?
I turn into a crabby little gremlin. No joke.

But here’s the part that changed everything ⬇️

As I write, ideas start popping up.
So I grab a Post-it and jot down each idea—one per sticky. That’s it.

No judgment.
No trying to sort or organize.
Just get it out.

Later, once I’m in work mode (post-kid drop-off), I sit with my rainbow pile of Post-its and start sorting:

✨ Big future stuff
🗓️ This-week stuff
🚨 Must-do-right-now stuff

Once something’s plugged into the right spot? The sticky gets tossed.
Done.

No more endless, anxiety-producing to-do lists.
Just one clear brain—and a pile of little squares that help me breathe easier.

It might not be your system.
But it works for me.
(Feel free to try it on for size.)

Help me figure this out, where did I go wrong, do y'all like it? So confused 🤔

The foodie collection is coming June 17th. And yes, I had to wear all the goodies early. I had to.

And let's make shell fish girl summer a thing this year. 🦞🦐🦪

Got a book I should add to the list?

When I opened our store on Marshall Ave in St. Paul, I knew I wanted a mural.
Partly because I’ve always loved exploring cities and spotting big, bold walls filled with murals. And yeah—let’s be real—it also just felt like good business.

What I didn’t expect? The absolute flood of joy it would bring.
Engagement pics. Family photos. Just-because selfies. I get tagged in the sweetest moments and it makes my freaking day every time.

Shoutout to my insanely talented and equally wild friend for helping dream up this mural—and for saying yes even when it scared you a little.
I love it more than you know.

So if you’ve ever taken a photo in front of our mural, tag me! Seriously—it’s the best part of my scroll.

Tomorrow I give the biggest speech of my life—at the U of M College of Design’s commencement ceremony.
And this quote from Marianne Williamson made it into the speech:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
Here’s to stepping into it—even when it scares the hell out of you.

Mother’s Day plans = secured.
Or not. Honestly, you don’t need a reason.

But if you do need one:
🦙 There will be llamas.
Like real, fluffy, judgment-free llamas.
At our store. From 1–3pm. On Mother’s Day.

Whether you’re celebrating, avoiding, or just craving serotonin in animal form—come by.
Bring your mom. Bring your chosen fam. Bring your emotionally supportive iced coffee.
There’ll be crafts in the back, llamas in the front, and joy all around.

10/10. Would recommend.
See you Sunday 🦙

Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 during the Great Recession as a way to support small businesses that were struggling. American Express started the initiative to encourage shoppers to visit and spend at local businesses, especially during the busy holiday season when larger retailers often dominate.

What began as a simple idea quickly grew into a nationwide movement. In 2011, it was officially recognized by the U.S. Senate, and since then, it has become an annual tradition that reminds us how vital small businesses are to our communities and local economies.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Small Business Saturday yesterday. My heart is overjoyed every time I see the LL community show up and share this space with us. This was our third year having our llamas join in the fun, and this year we added cookies from and ornament-making, which was an absolute blast.

Small Business Saturday is more than just a day; it’s a reminder of the power of community. Every purchase you make helps sustain not only businesses like ours but also the families, dreams, and neighborhoods they support. Thank you so much for being part of may crazy dream of making jewelry and accessories to allow people to be seen.
❤, Larissa

This is my favorite collection in a LONG time. In the past year I have really started exploring other product lines (hats and hair accessories) and reaching out to manufacturing partners to help me create items that I can dream and they know how to build it. Before, I felt like I always had to know how to do everything and build everything but in time I have let that go and because of that I just feel like my options are limitless now.

So enjoy the cutest little spooky/ hocus pocus collection out there.
