Well hello fellow friends and turkey hunters .Been quite a while since I have posted anything here in the swamp. Some of you may know some of you may not January 6th 2025 I was admitted in the hospital I spent 14 days in ICU five days on the floor home for 36 hours and back in the hospital for another 7 days basically the whole month of January I was in the hospital. The good news is God had other plans for me I should have never made it out of the hospital but I did and thank the Lord. It's been a long journey I couldn't do the things I love to do the most that's being in there turkey woods but I kept pushing and I'm a lot better this March than I was last March and I got faith in the Lord that he is going to continue to heal me
It's been a journey and I miss all y'all that come down and hunt with me and Dr David get ready for next march buddy cuz we're going to shoot some turkeys in the face..
Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise. So all that being said I am going to book a few hunts for the 27th spring gobbler season Dr David has already booked in he has the first date that he wants whenever he wants to be here. I was able to go out with my middle grandson that is 7 and called him in his first long beard and he did his job with the 410 and TSS.
Look at that big old smile that's Tristan Sluder.
And then on opening day of the 26th spring gobbler season for adults I went and did some I hadn't did in a long time by myself I went out and smoked a big old long beard it had been quite a while since I pulled the trigger on one here in Florida the old 11-87spst still puts them to sleep with the Win XR #5
Few days fly by and my cousin from Michigan came in town got hooked up with me and once again the ole Osceola long beard fell to the Benelli 12 gauge it was exciting to get back to the woods and looking forward to spending more time back where I love it in the swamp chasing turkeys.
And I almost forgot the other youth turkey that fell to the copper at the camp S and S&S Swamp Swine
Proud young man I set them up and him and his dad got the job done
Look forward to hearing from you all send me some pictures of some birds and look forward to also hearing from you all give me a hoot and let's hunt a turkey together in Florida

Well it's getting to be my favorite time of the year here in the swamp .Time for the limbs to start shaking with that sweet sound of an ole Tom sounding off .Still have hunts available for the 2022 season and it's going to me a great one .
Had the chance to get some more land that's loaded with birds .Contact me so we can put a hunt together for that ole long beard hook spurred Osceola here in Florida.Last year was amazing and this season is going to be even better.

Congratulations to my two late season hunters who came to hunt Swamp Swine last weekend .We were able to bag two mature toms in two days of hunting.Brians bird was 18.5 pounds 1.5 inch spurs and 11.5 inch beard he is headed to the taxidermists.Kevins bird was a nice mature bird 18 pounds 1.25 spurs broke off and 9.5 beard
