A veteran walks into our woodshop.
Some arrive with a smile. Others quietly carry burdens that few people ever see. But something remarkable happens when they sit down at a lathe.
A rough block of wood begins to spin.
With a little guidance, that block is slowly transformed into a beautiful handcrafted pen. As the shape emerges, so does something else—a smile, a laugh, a conversation, and often a renewed sense of confidence.
For a few hours, they aren't thinking about doctor's appointments, physical limitations, or the struggles they've faced. They're creating. Learning. Sharing stories with fellow veterans. Feeling the pride that comes from making something with their own hands.
That is what the **VA Pen Program** is all about.
