***featured piece is a hand carved onyx German cameo depicting a mother and child set in sterling with 14k gold accents. I’ve had this stone for 3 years and it always intimidated me to work with until this week. Turns out, still intimidating but it had to be done!! 😮‍💨😅

In typical fashion, I am sitting here drinking my morning coffee trying to do absolutely everything I can squeeze in before Mira wakes up. One of those things, is reaching to you all to invite you tag a friend or loved one who you think would rock one of my “Resist” or “F*CK ICE” fundraiser pins. An angel has swooped in given a monetary donation to support this cause with the expressed interest of funding a couple pieces of jewelry for someone who would wear it proudly and want to give to this cause, but doesn’t have the means to stretch out right now. I have someone in mind for one of the pieces, but wanted to reach out to my IG community for the other 🫶

So, please tag a friend you think would be interested in supporting this cause, or someone you think you totally wear heck out of a resistance conversation heart pin. I’ll pick a winner at end of day today (9pm est) ❤️

Also, a quick update: Together so far, we have raised $446 to support our local immigrant community. Just WOW. So many people out there fighting the good fight and looking out for our innocent neighbors and friends living under constant threat and fear from being arrested by our own government. I’ve been shocked by how close to home this has hit and we really don’t know where these horrors will stop. You have really shown up for such a important cause and I’m immensely proud of where I live and the generosity shown to myself, our community and 🙌

May we continue to make great strides in uplifting and supporting one another, especially those less advantaged than ourselves. Love ya’ll 💖

In the spirit of the season, I’ve added a small selection of love day inspired jewels to the site today if anyone’s interested 💘

I also just want to extend a tremendous THANK YOU to all of you who have participated in my recent resistance fundraiser! I made a $250 donation to on our behalf on Sunday and plan to make another one this Sunday and onward as this fundraiser will be a continuous one for as long as it is needed. Most orders were shipped today, and the rest from the weekend should go out by end of week. My hands hurt but my heart is full. It’s an incredible feeling, honestly. 🖤

The atrocities being committed against our fellow Americans are deeply harmful to the fabric of our country that was BUILT by immigrants seeking refuge. What is happening here is unacceptable, and as hard as it is to not feel paralyzed by these horrors, it’s up to us to take a stand, speak out, and resist with our unique and powerful voices.

I feel privileged to be able to create these pieces of protest and defiance. As a friend said to me the other day, “may this terrible time in US history radicalize us all”.

Each piece is crafted one at a time by my hands in my Rochester, NY home studio. They are about the size of a conversation heart and a reminder to be as compassionate as we are angry.

As many of you are aware, the price of silver had near quadrupled in the past 4 months, so as much as I would like to offer them for less, the very cost of materials limits what I can do. I bring you both silver and brass for that reason.

25% of each sale will go directly to a family in my neighborhood and friend’s of our community who’s patriarch was detained in December and Rochester’s Rapid Response Network.

I think it’s time to show my face (albeit in my dirty studio mirror) and share a little about myself as I don’t think I’ve done it in a decade or so 😜

I’m not really sure what my relationship is to this app anymore, and am doing my best to embrace changes that come with being a small business owner/full time artist for 16 years running, an educator for emerging metalsmiths for the past decade and most importantly a mom to a busy, funny, smart little 3 year old girl. It’s a lot to balance, and posting regularly about “progress” or finished work just isn’t a reality I can embrace. So, I’m going to continue to spend my time in meaningful ways that support my personal balance, relationships and community. Even though I am “quieter”, I am still accepting custom work as it aligns, creating pieces as I feel moved to, collaborating with friends, and running an online shop/teaching space with . Keep an eye out for events on the horizon too! I love what I do and the amazing people I meet through the many hats I have found myself wearing. Although I have been feeling overwhelmed by all the new roles lately, I am equally grateful for the ways they contribute to my growth as a person, mother, teacher, students of life, mentor and friend. I know this will be relatable for many of you 🫠

There’s something BIG in the works right now (last pic is a teaser 🥰) that I’m super excited to share with you when the time is right! A lot of thought and mental energy is being poured into imagining and envisioning that right now— so stay tuned as it’s going to be awesome for lots of folks in the area — maybe YOU included 😉
