Ghana Ba African Beads Gallery Authentic African bead jewelry. Thus, Koryε Dance Theatre has worked for nearly 3 years to raise funds for this village school.

I use a variety of beads in my designs, including recycled glass beads, clay, trade beads, bone, krobo beads from the Eastern Region of Ghana, agate from Nigeria, shells, disk beads from northern Ghana, seeds, and more. What makes Ghana Ba African Beads Gallery different is that I donate a generous portion of the profits to education projects in Ghana. Read more about the three projects I support:

Besease Village School
Children in this village walk more than an hour to the nearest school, and they have to cross a fairly busy road. Sammy, a village resident and former teacher, began training the kids who were too small to make the long trek to the government school. Beginning with a small amount of donations from U.S. teachers, supplies were purchased and the teacher’s salary was paid to reopen the school in July 2010. There are now 30+ students attending school in the village’s small church building. Koryε leaders and members return to the school each month to pay the teacher’s salary, bring additional school and teaching supplies, observe the classroom and teacher, and discuss the progress and future needs with the village elders. Vendor Spotlight! 📿

“Ghana Ba African Beads Gallery sells handmade African jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and keychains), and cloth bags and paintings. Bead materials include one-of-a-kind recycled glass, clay, natural stone, hand-cast brass, shell, wood, bone, vinyl discs, etc. I moved to the U.S. in 2012, but return home to Ghana frequently, bringing all of the raw materials back from Ghana, then I handcraft the jewelry here in Rochester. Profits support a small rural school that my wife and I started in 2010 in Besease, Ghana, and a youth drumming and dance group in Cape Coast, Ghana.“
