Spring Market Fire Update

First off thank you to each and every person who reached out to check on me, stopped to hug me, texted and all those who are praying, I appreciate y’all more than you will ever know. This week has been something, but at the end of the day I am grateful, it could have been worse.

I really will never understand where all the ash and soot comes from. It traveled underneath the tables with table clothes and into containers all the way at the bottom!

We have went through and cleaned a lot. All who know me, know that for me I will NEVER sell a product that I am unsure about and don’t feel comfortable about. Right now I don’t exactly know where I am with it all. Right now we are taking all the earrings off cards and stuff off displays. Next step is cleaning it all. If anyone has experienced this and know how to clean jewelry let me know what you did!

So until I get a chance to go piece by piece I won’t be selling any of the stuff that I had with me in Jackson any time soon. I will be able to save a lot of stock. But most will be taken apart and remade and such. It’s going to be months before any shows or anything of that nature.

However, the shop will be stocked with new stuff that was put aside and not taken. I had every intent on getting there last week and I didn’t get a chance. Tomorrow, I will do a restock there and y’all are welcome to shop there. I also do have Easter stuff that I left behind on accident that I will post soon.

Today, I woke up ready to work. We stayed last night and made sure everything was stocked and ready to go for the big day, Saturday, usually the busiest of the show.

We walked into something so surreal. I am still in shock. I felt like I was walking into the twilight zone. There was an overnight fire in the building. Thank God no one was injured. But there was damage everywhere.

That building housed over 150 vendors from all over. Each and every one of us lost merchandise that we put our blood, sweat and tears into. So many had a total loss, some of us just don’t really know how bad it is yet.

So please just pray for all of us. Please also keep the organizers of Spring Market in your prayers! They were so gracious and helped me get a last minute spot. Truly, they were amazing today and were there answering questions, feeding us, and doing the best they could with the hand they were dealt. As I always say, we are in this together. So together we will rise. We have a lot of work ahead. So please y’all be patient with me. I am trying to navigate my way through this, because trust me, I didn’t see this on my 2026 bingo card!
