I am well overdue in making an announcement regarding the total proceeds from donations in August. I am happy to share that the total amount raised is $700!!!🧡💜
Happy is actually an understatement. I am happy, thrilled, thankful, appreciative, proud, and so much more. I cannot tell you all how many times I went back and forth about whether to make Angel bracelets this year or protect my sanity. It’s been a rough year and August came up quickly. I knew I had to honor my big brother in some way and truly wanted to give to those who may be struggling with addiction but I had a difficult time grappling with the idea of asking others for donations without offering Angel bracelets in return. I am so glad I did, as you all showed up, supported me, honored my brother, and your donations will make an impact on others struggling - without expecting anything in return. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude.
Working a lot of 10-12 hour days, 5 days a week while trying to stay on top of my personal life is a struggle. But staying busy in the mental health field and continuing to show up for those who have endured so much loss in their lives is what keeps me going, gets me out of bed in the morning, and makes me feel closer to mason more than ever. I know he walks beside me each day.
This past August I got the chance to visit BOTH sides of my family visiting Florida and Ohio, which is something I don’t have the chance to do as often as I’d like to. I also got to spend lots of time with my roommate pup Haven, giving her so much love, attention, food, and laughs. We had to say goodbye to Haven last week. Although she was not my dog, I loved her like my own and am so thankful I had the opportunity to live with such a special doggie.🤍
One last thank you for all the support! I am so thankful for each and every person who donated, shared words of support, and shared my posts to make a difference. $700 will go to HARP RVA and be used to support those in recovery. 🧡💜🧡💜
