🌟 Jack and I took a trip to the refinery this week, we had the experience of being on the far side of the table.

🌟 The owner sorted with incredible speed, holding a massive magnet, and occasionally tossing a rejected spoon or fork in my direction. "I'm sorry." I kept saying feeling more and more sheepish with every piece. I joked about being accustomed to standing on the side of the table doing the rejecting!

🌟 So if you've sat across from me in my store as I (politely as possible!) passed things back as not gold or silver, I feel your pain! 🌟

🌟 On that note we will happily sort whatever you being to us, good, bad or just low value like silver plate. 🌟

💎 After we melt jewelry with melee still in it the refinery sends the diamonds back. Now we're sorting over 200 carats of mini diamonds by size and grade. Getting then ready to be sold and put back into jewelery. 💎

We're so blessed to have a family business! Caleb used an 18k gold pin to remove a thorn in his foot while we sorted bags of scrap gold.
Jack at 15 is proficient at buying 100oz silver bars and 90% silver coins.
We have a lot of fun together at the shop finding mini antique gold charms, a piano, an armored soldier....

Today Jack bought his first 100 Oz silver bar, that's over 6lbs! We appreciate our wonderful customers who trust us with their treasures.

We also bought a tiny gold coin the size of a bean, that weighs 1/100th of an ounce!

I was very excited to find so many opal rings this week, at first glance I thought the black opal was just a doublet, but it's a not!
I love the bezel setting of the Ethiopian opal and the color play of the ring with the diamond accents.
We also have vintage chunky gold hoops.

We bought this antique gold, pearl and amethyst necklace awhile ago, I've had it in the window, someone asked if it was costume or real. It's high quality and hand made, with solid 14k gold accents and clasp. She's still waiting for the perfect person to come along with an appreciation for beauty and elegance!
Also in the window today are peridot studs and some lovely vintage necklaces.
What could be more vintage than a sterling silver serving tray?!

What a beautiful fall morning! The ponies were too lovely in the fog to not photograph.
Luke, Jack and I found some neat pieces in the piles this week.

Modern style diamond cluster rings give a lot of sparkle on an affordable budget.
We have a lot of new things in the shop today. My favorite is this 1912 hand engraved scroll work bangle, it really deserves to be admired! Timeless elegance and beauty.

The kitten has chased pearls around the floor, visited with customers and been carefully weighed.
