I went out to the studio with a really nice piece of china and a hammer. I said to Nick, "I'm going to go make some art" I wish you all could have seen the sideways look he gave me!

In all seriousness this project has some serious potential. Dinnerware can often have incredible sentimental value. Maybe it was a wedding gift, aniversary gift or a piece from that special set the family only uses for holidays and celebrations. Now a broken dish doesn't have to mean a broken heart. Here we go! You may or may not know I just recently left a very stable desk job to be a full time mom, part time artist. All of the sudden our little man was nine months old and I felt like I was missing all of his most important moments. I was afraid I would blink and all of the sudden he would be 18 and on his way out the door! So, he was the motivation I needed to finally put to use what I studied so hard to learn. I'll be creating as much as I can after he goes to sleep each night and I'll update our shop during his naps and whenever I can. I am so excited for this new future we are working towards!
