Life is too short to wear boring jewelry!

There’s something about a piece that isn’t perfect…

This bracelet was shaped by hand and hammered for texture, and it shows in every detail.

Jewelry and art coming together again.

In today’s Where Jewelry Meets Art pairing, these Boho Peace sign earrings are resting on one of my hand painted watercolor flower note cards.

The jewelry is always the focus. The artwork simply becomes the backdrop that adds color and a little extra story to the piece.

You would not believe how much stuff came out of this studio.

Yesterday we showed the “before” of the room that used to be my jewelry studio.

This is what we cleared out.

Boxes. Old supplies. Things that had been sitting in here for years. Things just kept coming out and the piles just kept growing.

Some things are being saved. Some things are being organized. Some things for sell. And some things are finally being thrown away.

This reel shows just how much came out of the room today.

The space is finally starting to open up again.

Next step is sorting what is worth keeping and figuring out how to organize everything so this can become a working jewelry studio again.

I am about to do something i have been putting off for more than 10 years.

This room used to be my jewelry studio.

Over time it slowly turned into a storage space full of boxes, supplies, and things stacked everywhere. Little by little the creative space disappeared.

So i decided it is time.

With help, is is getting totally cleared out. Throwing things away. Sorting supplies. Organizing everything. And rebuilding the studio so i can actually create jewelry in it again.

This is the real before.

Follow along as we clean, organize, and bring this studio back to life so it can once again be the place where my Boho jewelry is made.

WHAT “HANDMADE” REALLY MEANS

When I say my jewelry is handmade… I truly mean made by my hands.

Every ear wire is shaped by me and hand hammered for strength and texture.

I knot leather by hand. I choose every bead and every gemstone myself. Each bracelet, necklace and pair of earrings is put together slowly, piece by piece, until it feels balanced and right.

There’s no factory behind my work.

No machines making hundreds at a time.

Just me, a table full of beads, wire, leather, and the same creative spark I’ve been following since the 60s and 70s.

That’s what handmade means in my studio.

That’s what you’re wearing when you wear Boho Jewelry by Susan.
