We’re a shop of a dozen people tucked up in the corner of the country in the coastal city of Portland, Maine. In 1908 William Cross opened his jewelry making shop in Portland, five generations later we still make the finest jewelry in New England. We design and create much of our jewelry, but we also work with a select group of specialty shops around the country and around the world; with artisans
and jewelers who make extraordinary pieces. This flexibility allows us to offer a wide range of unique and inspiring jewelry. Many of the pieces we create have at least a touch, taste, or hint of New England, especially the coast. Whether traveling to one of Maine’s 3,166 islands or combing a sandy beach as the tide retreats, inspiration can be found anywhere. We believe in sharing stories. Gems have stories, and the jewelry designs themselves often have their own unique stories. When we discover something that intrigues, we share.
