Using God's Creations

Using God's Creations God created the earth and all the beautiful things to see; stars, birds, animals, flowers, and rocks. These rocks can be very tough and crusty.

Sometime in the late ‘90s, Ron’s and Kathy’s son, Kyle, had a science project that involved mineral samples. Ron and Kyle really got into it, and began collecting rocks and minerals in earnest Kathy’s grandpa was a rock hound, and when a “Genie” rock polishing machine was inherited, Ron began making freeform cabochons out of the rocks he and Kyle had collected. By about 2003, Kathy started wonderi

ng what to do with all the rocks that were gathering around the house, and took a class in wire-wrapping, and the rest, as they say is history. Kathy uses an intuitive approach, without really having any pre-conceived notions upon encountering a rock. She prefers simple wirework that shows off the rock as opposed to gaudy wirework. Kathy, a homemaker for many years, recently worked as a high school teacher’s aid, but has finally cut the tie and began full-time jewelry making in December of 2005 Ron, a retired truck driver, taught himself rock polishing, and emphasizes that everything they do is one-of-a-kind, and unconditionally guaranteed. As evidenced by their business name, Ron and Kathy share a deep spiritual belief that they are servants to a greater purpose:

“God created the earth and all the beautiful things to see; stars, birds, animals, flowers, and rocks. They represent our life, but if these rocks are cut open, they can be polished like beautiful gems. God also created us. God loved us so much that he sent his son into this world. He died on the cross, and shed his blood for our sins. If we accept this gift to cleanse our sins, read his word, and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, this crusty, dirty life can become like polished gems for his crown.”…Richard Young

But most of all, Kathy and Ron enjoy being able to do something together, and they love doing shows for the many wonderful people they meet.
