One of my favorite things about owning my own business is the freedom to create a life that feels slower, more intentional, and connected to the things I love most.

Today that looked like spending the morning canning our favorite homemade pasta/pizza sauce in bulk while working around jewelry orders, new ideas, and a little bit of studio time ♥️
•
It’s easy to focus only on the long hours and behind-the-scenes work that comes with running a small business, but moments like this remind me why I chose this path in the first place. Grateful for a job that lets me create with my hands in more ways than one 🌿

One of my favorite parts of this process is slowing down enough to notice the tiny details in nature — the shape of each leaf, the texture, the way no two are ever exactly alike. After carefully foraging and pressing these ferns, they’ll be preserved forever in handcrafted jewelry made with fine silver, sterling silver, copper, and gold filled details.

Every piece begins long before the soldering bench or resin pour. It starts outside — on trails, in gardens, beneath trees, and in quiet moments spent collecting pieces of nature that deserve to be remembered.

Day 2! ✨ Back at it again for the final day of the Old Capitol Art Fair in Downtown Springfield!

Yesterday was filled with rain, storms, and complete uncertainty in the weather, but it still turned out to be an absolutely amazing day. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, said hello, shared kind words, or supported my work ♥️

I’m excited to see how today goes!

I am so proud and excited to share these with you!

I’ve been working on my soldering and hand forming skills this spring and these pieces came directly from my heart.
•
Not only did I design the shapes, but I also wanted to start bringing more flower combos together.
•
These will be available in-person only this weekend and then whatever is left will be listed online for purchase under the Old Capitol Collection when that goes live.
These are one of a kind and will never be duplicated quite the other. I might use the same flowers, but orientation and shape will be different for each one.

This decision was not made lightly, nor was it easy…

For now, I’m stepping away from custom orders.
•
Working with real flowers means working with something beautifully unpredictable—and I’ve realized that trying to meet very specific expectations has been pulling me away from the way I’m meant to create.
•
I’m choosing a slower pace, more creative freedom, a deeper connection to my work, and a bit less pressure to perform.
•

Pontiac is in the books and what a crazy weekend. So glad I participated. I met so many amazing people and had a great time!
