While the other brand manufactures a highly processed, synthetic-heavy corporate product, your formula reads like a true, nutrient-dense, small-batch luxury balm scrub. The differences between the BRANDS Body Scrub and your Handmade Clean Line break down as follows:
1. The Base: Plant-Derived vs. Ancestral Fats: Relies heavily on synthetics like Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate and Propanediol to create a foaming, liquid-gel consistency.
Your Line: Uses grass-fed tallow and beeswax. Tallow is an incredibly green, bio-identical ingredient rich in fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) that mimics the human skin barrier far better than synthetic polymers. Beeswax provides a natural, clean, water-resistant barrier.
2. The Oils: Mid-Weight Synthetics vs. Nutrient-Dense: Uses C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate (a synthetic emollient used to make formulas feel less greasy) alongside standard coconut and sweet almond oils.
LW Line: Uses a heavy-hitting, diverse lipid profile consisting of sweet almond, coconut, avocado, and rice bran oils. Rice bran oil is highly valued in clean beauty for its rich squalene and ferulic acid content, making your moisturizing base much more luxurious.
3. Exfoliant & Emulsifiers other brand Uses Sucrose (sugar) but holds it together with highly processed PEGs (PEG-100 Stearate, PEG-150 Distearate) to ensure it washes off cleanly in the shower.

4. Preservation & Color other name brand: Uses a multi-tiered synthetic system including Phenoxyethanol, BHT, and Sodium Metabisulfite to ensure a multi-year retail shelf life. It also relies on a complex synthetic Fragrance (Parfum) blend which contains common allergens like Linalool and Citronellol.
LW Line: Uses Optiphen (an excellent, globally approved, paraben- and formaldehyde-free preservative blend of phenoxyethanol and caprylyl glycol). You also color naturally with mica and scent safely with organic essential oils, avoiding synthetic "black box" industrial perfumes entirely.
