America 250 • A Nation Born in Freedom

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a nation declared that liberty was worth defending and that craftsmanship, industry, and individual excellence would help build its future.

This American eagle was engraved by hand on a fine shotgun as a tribute to that enduring spirit. Every cut was made one at a time—just as generations of craftsmen have practiced their trades since the founding of our Republic.

In an age of mass production, hand engraving remains a reminder that some things are still earned through patience, discipline, and skill.

As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, I’m honored to carry forward a tradition of craftsmanship that has been passed from master to apprentice for centuries. It is my small way of preserving the artistic heritage that has long been part of the American story.

Here’s to 250 years of freedom…
…and to the craftsmen, builders, innovators, and patriots who continue to shape the next chapter.

250 Years of American Liberty. One Tradition of American Craftsmanship.

As our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, I’m reminded that freedom has always inspired the pursuit of excellence.

This C**t Diamondback became a canvas for that idea. Deep-cut American scroll, gold inlays, and a 24-karat gold American eagle come together to honor the artistry that has been passed from one generation of craftsmen to the next.

Engraving is more than decoration—it’s storytelling in steel. Every cut is made by hand, every line intentional, preserving a tradition that has endured alongside our country’s own remarkable history.

Here’s to 250 years of liberty, innovation, and the craftsmen who continue to keep those traditions alive.

Every brand tells a story. This guns tells them all.

This C**t SAA was engraved as a tribute to the spirit of the American West featuring historic Texas cattle brands. Each brand is thoughtfully framed by florid American scroll.

Every restoration tells a story, and this hand-detachable sidelock Beretta ASE had certainly lived one.

It arrived with extensive damage consistent with prolonged exposure to both fire and water. Time and the elements had left deep pitting throughout the action, obscuring much of the original engraving.

Using laser welding, I rebuilt many of the most severely damaged areas before carefully recutting the engraving by hand to restore the original character of the gun. While it’s impossible to erase every trace of its history, it’s always rewarding to see a fine shotgun brought back to life.

Unfortunately, I neglected to take “before” photographs—a mistake I won’t make again—but the transformation was remarkable.

Restoration work like this is among the most challenging aspects of engraving, requiring not only artistic ability, but also patience, precision, and respect for the original maker’s work.

This recent 28-gauge Krieghoff K-20 was engraved in my rendition of American Royal Scroll, a style that emphasizes bold flow, depth, balance, and elegance while remaining true to the sporting purpose of the gun.

The receiver was finished in satin nickel plating, creating a subtle contrast that allows the scrollwork to stand on its own without distraction. The unique finish gives the sportsman an all weather sporting gun suitable for the range or the woods and fields chasing upland game.

Every surface was carefully considered to maintain continuity of design from the action body to the top lever and trigger guard.

The Krieghoff K-20 has long been regarded as one of the finest sub-gauge sporting shotguns available, and it was a pleasure to transform this example into a uniquely personal firearm while preserving the clean, functional lines that make the platform so respected.
