Sunday School Nuggets
“Every Opportunity”
Acts 16:11-15, 29-40
Paul and Silas continued this second missionary journey under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. They enjoyed success in sharing the gospel. They also endured persecution that included an illegal beating and false imprisonment. Through it all, the team never lost sight of their mission and purpose. They took advantage of every opportunity to share the gospel. We should be aware of opportunities to share God’s love and the gospel as the Holy Spirit provides opportunities for us.
While it is important to remember that a major point of this lesson is that we should be ready to verbalize the gospel message, it is true that, within the last week, we have seen many show God’s love and share the gospel through actions. It is always God’s intent that people share and help whenever and whatever the need. He knew that this lesson would come in the midst of our current post-Helene crisis. It is certain that God’s name is being glorified in the midst of this tragedy.
Let’s pray that God gives us wisdom and guidance as we look for opportunities to witness and minister this week.

It’s time… if you are in or near Shelby, come on over to Suncrest Event Center on Barbee Road. You’ll find ‘all things horse’, plus lots of other neat items. Why- you may say- is Aiken Hollow Designs (Handcrafted Jewelry) selling at an equine event? A Limestone friend, Beverly Marie Day Phillips is the organizer. I’m pleased with my jewelry that was designed just for this event. Come on, y’all!
