My great huge STONKING MONSTER!! 😁💎

I am so excited — I got myself the most ridiculous present and I love it. A full 10 carats of moissanite madness! Yes, it’s completely over the top, and no, it is not trying to look subtle. It feels like I’m wearing a tiny celestial object on my finger, and honestly, that is exactly the point. 😂✨

It’s an elongated old mine cut set in sterling silver, and somehow it’s actually comfortable because of the smooth, simple setting. I usually love a statement solitaire, so this feels very me… just turned all the way up.

I do have my original ring and a few more “reasonable” moissanites too, but as a huge moissanite fan, this one feels extra special and fun.

Totally OTT, totally impractical, and totally loved. 😭🙌🏻💎

What’s wrong with a fiancée wanting a diamond engagement ring?

I see so much criticism online toward women who want diamond engagement rings, especially on Reddit where people often push moissanite or say wanting a diamond is shallow.

But honestly, what is wrong with wanting a meaningful, significant stone if that’s your dream? Moissanite is beautiful and a great option for many people, but it doesn’t have to be everyone’s preference.

To me, wanting a diamond doesn’t automatically mean someone is materialistic or ungrateful. Engagement rings are sentimental, personal, and for some people, the diamond tradition matters.

Of course budget and communication matter, but I don’t think women should be shamed for having a preference. Why is it so wrong to want the ring you’ll wear every day to feel special to you?

A few months ago, I posted my idea for a bezel-set half eternity wedding band that was a bit thicker than my engagement ring. Reddit definitely had opinions, and a lot of people were convinced it wouldn’t work or that I should go with a thinner band instead.

I get that the current trend is a delicate band that lets the engagement ring shine, but I kept coming back to what I actually wanted.

So I ignored the advice, went custom, and just got my wedding band back. I could not be happier. 🥹 It is exactly what I pictured, and I’m honestly obsessed.

Crowdsourcing opinions can be helpful, but at the end of the day, you know your own style best. I knew I would regret going thinner just because it was the “safer” choice, and I’m so glad I trusted myself.

My husband got me a 1 carat moissanite in 10k rose gold 🩷

It’s from DovEggs, which I actually learned about from this sub. I picked the cut, but I can’t remember the exact name — something antique-inspired. I originally had a halo diamond engagement ring from 2017, but a few tiny stones fell out of the band, so instead of fixing it right away, I decided to try a solitaire moissanite.

I’ve always wanted to try a solitaire because halos were never really my favorite, and this felt like a sweet, budget-friendly Mother’s Day gift after a really hard year with our special needs six-year-old.

I’m wearing it with my original 10k rose gold half-eternity wedding band, which is almost 9 years old and definitely needs a cleaning, so the new moissanite really stands out sparkle-wise.

I personally love it, but I’m curious — does it look “fake” or just extra sparkly? Sometimes I worry it looks too white or too sparkly compared to my diamond band, and the rose gold looks a little pinker even though both are 10k.

Overall, I love how it feels on my finger, but I’d really appreciate honest opinions on the look, the sparkle, and how it pairs with my wedding band. 🩷

It’s rose gold with champagne lab diamonds, and it matches my engagement ring, which has the same gold and diamonds with a blue-green spinel center stone.

Just proposed to my boyfriend of 3 years
I’ve been with my boyfriend since December 2022, but before that we were friends — really best friends — for about a year. Looking back, it feels so natural that he became the person I wanted to build my life with. He has such a kind heart and soul, and loving him has been one of the easiest and most meaningful things in my life.
He is a huge fan of The Little Mermaid, so yesterday I took him to the Little Mermaid ride at Magic Kingdom and proposed right in front of Prince Eric’s Castle. It felt like the perfect place for a moment that was so completely us.
I chose a ring from Enchanted by Disney with rose gold shells, since we met during the WDW 50th anniversary, and an amethyst birthstone in the center, which is my birthstone. I wanted the ring to feel personal and tied to our story, and seeing it all come together made the moment feel even more special.

I wasn't planning to post about this, but I'm honestly curious how other people would react. 😅
After finishing my shopping tonight, I walked back to my truck and found it completely surrounded by shopping carts.
At first I thought maybe a few carts had rolled over because of the wind.
Then I got closer.
Nope.
This was very clearly done on purpose.
It took several minutes just to move everything out of the way so I could leave.
Was it the end of the world?
No.
Was it annoying?
Absolutely.
What gets me is that somebody spent their own time doing this and thought it would be funny.
Meanwhile, the person on the receiving end is left standing in a parking lot cleaning up someone else's prank.
Maybe some people would laugh it off.
Maybe others would be frustrated.
I'm somewhere in the middle.
So be honest...
